The Hill-Snowdon Foundation is proud to release our spring 2007 grants list. A total of 11 grants were awarded across 3 Program Areas: Youth Organizing (4), Economic Justice (4) and Post-Katrina Organizing for Equitable Development (3). Nine organizations received grants for the first time from the Foundation. Similarly, 9 of the organizations are based in the south: Florida (1), Louisiana (6), Tennessee (1), and Texas (1). The Foundation will offer spring and fall cycles this year for the first time. Previously, the Foundation awarded grants toward the end of the year. In 2008, the Foundation expects a more balanced, flexible, and responsive grant cycle process.
