The long-awaited film from Families United for Racial and Economic Equality (FUREE), “Someplace Like Home: The Fight Against Gentrification in Downtown Brooklyn,” will premier on December 5th at Medgar Evers College. Produced by FUREE members and narrated by Kevin Powell, this documentary explores the downside of rampant development in downtown Brooklyn and the devastating effect this has had on local residents, small business owners and the community at large.
